The Green Party of Lebanon is exactly what it sounds like. It was founded in August 2008, has no seats in parliament, but does have a sense of humor: much in the same way many Lebanese parties control their own armed militias, the GPL has an (unarmed) mock-militia called the "Green Brigade," which stages PR stunts to promote ecological consciousness and does environmental monitoring.
The GPL flag is simple and direct, as befits a party founded by an advertising executive: a white field with a green circle, with highlights and shadows added to make it a 3-D ball (or globe.) There is also a shadow below, as though the sphere were levitating over a flat white surface.
